Children come across many new things once they started with schooling, especially the kindergarten education system will introduce them to a wide variety of concepts to learn. Patterns are loaded with fun among them. When it comes to preschoolers, they are known with primary AB pattern type.
But the patterns in kindergarten are a little deep. We can teach our kids to learn in many different ways.
Children will gain the ability to recognize and create their own patterns through practice. Relate patterns with daily life would be the best practical approach to learn.
A pattern is a repeated sequence of numbers, shapes, letters, or objects we usually find in kindergarten learning.
I introduced patterns to my daughter by grouping them as below. She had fun in doing this by shapes and colors.

- Continue the patterns
- Missing patterns
- Creating the patterns
- Identify the wrong pattern.
- Relate patterns with daily life
